Bio-Para-Milk
™
Bio-Para-Milk™
is a computer simulation, developed by
Bioparametrics Ltd.
of digestion in dairy cattle and recognized as the tool for designing diets
to extract the performance potential of the herd. Cows are described
by mature body weight, target condition score and 305 day yield potential.
Milk quality is set by protein and butterfat composition for the genetic
composition of the herd. Target calving weights and lactation
potential are calculated separately for first, second, third and all
subsequent lactations at the target condition score. Format
International enjoys being the exclusive worldwide sales agent for
Bio-Para-Milk™
and its sister product Bio-Para-Beef™.
Export-Import™
| This program is available as part
of the standard Single-Mix®
package. It is designed to help with the exchange of specific items of
data between New Century™
and other applications, for example spreadsheets. By using filters or "Delimited Profiles", comma separated
files can be exported from, or imported into New Century™. This offers significant benefits
in the removal of the paper trail and automation of data exchange between departments or
individuals within the organi zation.

control facility for use by chemists, technicians, raw materials
managers and information systems professionals. Lab
Manager integrates NC Formulation software to determine targets and
tolerances for product testing.

Scripts
Scripts provide a powerful way of modifying and manipulating data. They
facilitate the calculation of new values for data items according to user-defined
equations using logical and non-linear operators. For example, scripts can derive
ingredient values which are calculated using a full range of mathematical and statistical
functions. Scripts can, for example, produce analysis for calculated energy content based
on standard equations. Scripts may also be used to allow in-built biological
modeling by
calculation of the min and max constraints on product specifications. A Script takes the
form of an external text file created using any suitable text editor. It contains lines of
instructions, written in standard Script syntax, which are interpreted by the NC™
software, to directly change the data.
Macros
Macros allow the automation of any process within New
Century™. This offers
huge potential for savings in efficiency and control of the flow of work. A "Record
macro" facility is provided to speed up their implementation, though they may also be
set up using any text editor.
Macros can be written to pause for
user input, trap errors or initiate external processes. They can be run by the entry of a
command in standard syntax. Alternatively, they can be incorporated by the user into the
existing menu structure or user defined tool bar. Thus, macros
provide a major opportunity for the customization of the formulation process in your
organization.
