Global Manager™
registers the individual plants or data directories for which data is to
be managed. It can operate in 2 different modes - central mode or
distributed.
Data to be used during the
formulation process is maintained in Global Manager™
and transferred from here to Single-Mix® and Multi-Mix® in an
efficient and reliable product.
Product formulations obtained using the NC™
formulation modules are then stored in Global Manager™
where the various reporting tools may be used to give product cost and
ingredient usage information across time and location.
Global Manager™
is particularly useful where maintenance of data over a number of
locations is necessary and where an overall, controlled approach to this
task is required.

efficient data collation and distribution facilities providing
timely information for the formulation function.

of ingredient costs for 100 Time Periods by plant. Buying,
stock and selling prices are stored.

"central" costs may be stored with cost differentials
between the standard and each plant. Differentials may be
used to calculate local costs from central.

of product production forecast tonnages for 100 Time Periods by
plant.

and products forecasts may be imported from external sources such
as databases or spreadsheets using flexible, customized profiles.

A
typical dialog screen is illustrated below showing selections for
distribution of ingredient costs for selected periods to a range
of plants. Costs will be updated in Single-Mix® and Multi-Mix®
for the selected periods and plants. In addition the Time Period
names will be updated from this central point.

Product
Cost and Ingredient Usage Reports
As
mentioned earlier, a wide range of reports are available for
reviewing both product formula cost and ingredient usage for each
plant and across plants and time.
Illustrated
overleaf is a typical report of this type showing the ingredient
usage, or “breakdown”, for a plant through a period of 3
months
